Stanley Roberts

Mathematics Adjunct Instructor
J. Stanley Roberts joins the Montessori School of Rome for the 2021-2022 school year. He is a recipient of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of North Florida and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Tampa. Stanley has fifteen years experience as a math instructor, most recently teaching basic math through trigonometry in Bradenton, Florida, where he was also in charge of the Senior Class and Upper School Teachers. He and his wife, Teri, moved to Rome in August 2019 to be closer to family. They have two daughters – one living in Rome and the other in Tuscaloosa, Alabama – and four grandchildren ages 18, 4, 2, and 3 months. Stanley says he is both anxious and nervous about starting this new position, but is looking forward to seeing the students transition into young adults as well as connecting with past students to see how their lives have changed. He looks forward to meeting everyone!
Favorite quote from Dr. Maria Montessori:
“The purpose of life is to obey the hidden command which ensures harmony among all and creates an ever better world. We are not created only to enjoy the world, we are created in order to evolve the cosmos. “
