Kathleen Bergman

Upper Elementary Guide

Kathleen is an Environmental Educator with seven years of experience. We met Kathleen this past spring at the Coosa River Science School in Alabama. We were drawn to Kathleen’s passion for education; her focus on conserving the natural world drew our students in immediately.

Kathleen, an Alabama native, attended UAB studying Marketing and Finance; shortly before her senior year, she left the program and moved to Colorado to find a more significant direction. During her time in CO, she discovered her passion for nature and teaching. She returned to AL and put her new interest to work.

For the past three years, Kathleen has specialized in youth development at the statewide Alabama 4-H Center. She believes in a holistic, whole-child approach to learning and growth. Kathleen, an avid learner with more insight, passion, and direction, is currently completing her BS in Early Childhood from UAB. She is excited to combine her environmental education experience with children, and her continuing education, to create a positive and impactful learning environment for every child.
